  • journal abbreviations and shortcuts can be easily edited (simple csv file that can be edited in OOo/excel or a text editor)
  • Lot of bug fixes
  • Requires python2.5 (not a problem anymore under Windows since OOo3.1 includes 2.6)
  • Requires wxpython-2.8

Bibus remains minimized in the Windows task bar

Due to a bug (bug no. 2137804) Bibus sometimes starts minimized in the task bar on Windows, and it cannot be opened with a single left click on the task bar icon. To get out of this "minimize trap" just right click on the task bar icon (Windows XP) or on the little field which appears when you mouse over the Bibus task bar icon (Windows 7). Then click Maximize. Bibus will be opened maximized but you won't be able to see any references. For this you have to pull down the window where they are normally displayed and everything will be o.k. ;-)
